Purpose of the Position:
The Youth Soccer Coach is responsible for leading fun, safe, and age appropriate soccer activities for children ages 3–8. The coach will introduce young players to the fundamentals of soccer while helping them develop coordination, confidence, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a love for the game.The primary goal is to create a positive and encouraging environment where every child feels included, supported, and excited to participate.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead soccer practices and activities for children ages 3–8.
- Teach age appropriate soccer fundamentals, including dribbling, passing, shooting, ball control, and basic game concepts.
- Plan and organize engaging practices, drills, games, and activities.
- Adapt activities to different ages, skill levels, and abilities.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive environment for all children.
- Encourage teamwork, cooperation, sportsmanship, and respect.
- Provide positive feedback and encouragement to young players.
- Help children develop coordination, balance, agility, and basic athletic skills.
- Supervise children throughout practices and activities.
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents, guardians, and program staff.
- Ensure soccer equipment is properly used, organized, and stored.
- Follow all facility, program, and child-safety policies.
- Report injuries, safety concerns, or behavioral issues to the sports director.
- Arrive prepared and on time for all scheduled sessions.
- Perform other youth soccer program duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children ages 3–8 preferred.
- Previous soccer playing, coaching, or instructional experience preferred.
- Knowledge of basic soccer rules and fundamentals.
- Ability to communicate effectively with young children.
- Energetic, patient, friendly, and encouraging personality.
- Ability to keep young children engaged and actively participating.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional.
- Ability to create age-appropriate activities in a fun and positive environment.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
- Previous experience in youth recreation, sports, childcare, or physical education is a plus.

- Hours: 10am to 12pm
- Pay: $50-$60 per hour
